Who runs this site

Tape Measure Trainer (readatape.com) is run by Nuno Carriço, Portugal. For anything about this policy or your data, email contact@readatape.com.

What the site collects

Nothing. There are no accounts and no forms that send anything to a server. The tape, the practice quiz and the worksheets run entirely in your browser, and what you do in them never leaves your device.

What's stored on your device

The practice quiz keeps your best score for each mode, unit and level in your browser's local storage, so it's there when you come back. Nothing else is stored, and it stays on your device. To clear it, delete the site data for readatape.com in your browser's settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Fonts and other files

The fonts, images and scripts are all served from readatape.com itself. The pages make no requests to other sites, apart from the advertising described below.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites.

Advertising cookies are used only with your consent. Hosting and security rely on legitimate interest: keeping the site available and protected.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact contact@readatape.com.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Portugal that is the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, www.cnpd.pt).

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 16 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.
